KEY FEATURES The psychology component involves three years of accredited undergraduate study followed by an honours year in which you complete a research thesis and advanced coursework units. This enables you to apply for entry to professional masters programs focused on your career of choice. You're guaranteed a place in the honours program if you achieve the criteria for admission into the honours year. You'll develop a sound understanding of legal doctrine as well as an awareness of the role of law in society and a developed sense of social responsibility. You'll have opportunities to get real-world experience with leading Australian organisations. Upon graduation, you'll be entitled to admission for professional practice in law in New South Wales subject to completion of a recognised course in Practical Legal Training, which you'll be qualified for after you complete this course. The Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and Bachelor of Laws is perfect for those who need to know about both in their profession or who want to work as lawyers or psychologists. Please note: Progression to honours in psychology is subject to achieving entry requirements. Should these criteria not be achieved, the student will graduate after5 years with the Bachelor of Arts-Psychology with the degree of Bachelor of Law. After psychology honours, in order to pursue a pathway to registration as a psychologist ,a further two years postgraduate training or supervised experience is required for registration as a psychologist. Candidates who wish to continue with higher research degree are admitted to the 2nd year of the Master of Research program upon completion of psychology honours.
