专业简介
Overview
Urban and regional planning is a profession shaping the places where people live, work and play. Planners aim to improve the quality of life in cities through the creation of vibrant, healthy and equitable communities, as well as through efficient and sustainable transport, infrastructure and growth.
In 2050, more than two-thirds of the world's population will live in cities and urban regions. Planners work today to guide global urban futures by balancing social and environmental needs, and by helping communities to look after the places that are important to them. Unique because of its focus on the social and environmental aspects of planning, this course won't only prepare you for a career in which you have the power to shape more livable and sustainable cities, but also give you a distinctive edge among your peers.
