Overview This major aims to give you proficiency in French language as well as an awareness of, and appreciation for, the societies and cultures of the Francophone world. French units include: French language from introductory level to advanced the culture and history of France developing a greater understanding of the language. A knowledge of French can enhance employment opportunities: representing the Australian Government overseas; working for companies in France, Canada, Polynesia or Switzerland; or working in global agencies such as the United Nations.
