The Master of Science (Environmental Biology) is designed for students who seek further knowledge and skills in the biological sciences, or seek to qualify for a postgraduate research degree. Your degree The areas covered in the degree include conservation biology, ecological and evolutionary physiology, marine and terrestrial ecology, and fisheries and aquaculture. Additional preparatory subjects focusing on laboratory work and science communication skills are also undertaken: Fundamentals of Science Communication, Fundamentals of Science Laboratories, Fundamentals of Science Data and Current Questions in Science. Students with appropriate qualifications and laboratory skills will be awarded advanced standing for these subjects. Course Structure Students in the Master of Science must complete the requirements of one of the following specialisations: Biotechnology Chemistry Earth and Environmental Sciences Environmental Biology Medicinal Chemistry.
