The Master of Nutrition and Dietetics prepares graduates to be professional dietitian-nutritionists, eligible for membership to the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA). The course has full accreditation with the Dietitians Association of Australia, and all graduates are eligible for the credential of Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Accredited Nutritionist (AN). Your degree The course is designed to meet the core fields of competency as defined by the profession, including the key areas of professional practice, improving nutrition outcomes for individuals, groups and communities, critical thinking and evidence based practice and collaboration with stakeholders. Within the program, these are applied to the practice of clinical dietetics (individual case management), community and public health nutrition, and food service systems management. Course Learning Outcomes Students graduating from the Master of Nutrition and Dietetics will be able to: Demonstrate coherent and advanced knowledge of the principles and concepts associated with nutrition and dietetics including knowledge about recent developments, controversies and an appreciation of the scientific framework on which the knowledge base is predicated. Integrate knowledge of research principles and methods associated with nutrition and dietetics practice. Effectively communicate information advice and professional opinion to individuals, groups and communities. Design collect, organise and assess data relating to the health and nutritional status of individuals, groups and populations. Employ evidence-based practice, use critical thinking, apply collaborative and reflective practice and justify actions in the management of client-centred nutrition care for individuals; in planning, implementation and evaluation of nutrition programs with groups, communities or populations; and in effective management of components of a food service system to provide safe and nutritious food to groups and individuals Demonstrate initiative and judgement using a professional, ethical and entrepreneurial approach advocating for excellence in nutrition and dietetics. Integrate management principles in the provision of nutrition services and products. Consolidate and synthesise knowledge and skills in planning and executing a substantial research-based initiative in nutrition and dietetics practice.

入学要求

为来自中国的学生设计 An Honours Bachelor degree in an appropriate discipline at Class II Division 2 or higher or appropriate Master of Philosophy with a strong thesis performance. Special Admission Requirements: All applicants for research degrees must submit a written (preferably typed) proposal as part of their application. This proposal should: commence with a statement detailing any previous research or project experience you have undertaken, including if possible a copy of the abstract of such work; contain, in no more than one additional page, a clearly focused research proposal for the study you would wish to undertake throughout your registration in the course; and conclude with a statement of your motivation for wanting to undertake the research course. English language requirements: IELTS - 6.5 (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking – 6.0); TOEFL – 88 (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking – 18). 国际学生入学条件 A Bachelor's degree of at least 3 years' duration from a recognised tertiary institution is required for entry. IELTS Academic Overall Score of 6.5, reading 6.0, writing 6.0, listening 6.0, speaking 6.0; TOEFL (Internet-based) score of 88, reading 18, writing 18, listening 18, speaking 18; Cambridge English: CAE and CPE score of 176; PTE Academic overall score of 64 (Minimum communicative skill score of 57).
