This course has five core subjects and three elective subjects, all focusing on Adult and Vocational Education. Course Learning Outcomes Students graduating from the Graduate Diploma in Adult and Vocational Education will demonstrate: Broad discipline knowledge of adult learning principles and also the different approaches to teaching adult learners from a diversity of backgrounds. Sound understanding of the various approaches to teaching within the adult and vocational education field as well as underpinning knowledge of how to initiate, plan, implement and evaluate programs. Expert, advanced cognitive, technical and communication skills to select and apply methods and technologies to: Assess adult learners’ needs; Analyse the specific demands and requirements of diverse learners; Design, plan, implement and evaluate vocational education and adult learning programs in state, national and international settings; Observe, reflect on and critique pedagogical practices.
