The course aims to provide students with:
theoretical knowledge and applied skills in a range of documentary production and post-production practices;
communication skills to enable them to collaborate with peers on basic screen production projects; and
an understanding of issues and theory in a related field of study.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course graduates will:
have acquired skills in a range of commonly employed documentary production practices, including production and post-production techniques;
be able to demonstrate the ability to collaborate with peers on basic screen production projects; and
be able to demonstrate knowledge of issues and theory in the related fields of study.

Applicants must have equivalent of a three-year Australian bachelors degree. Some degrees may require work experience to meet the entry requirements. A reference or statement from the employer will be required. Special requirements apply to the four-year Doctor of Medicine. English language requirements: IELTS (Academic): 7.0 Overall with 7.0 Speaking, 7.0 Writing; 7.0 Reading, 7.0 Listening; TOEFL Paper 600 Overall 5.0 TWE; TOEFL (Internet): 96 Overall with 24 Speaking, 24 Writing, 24 Reading; 24 Listening; Pearson PTE Academic: 65 Overall with 65 Speaking, 65 Writing, 65 Reading; 65 Listening; Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) with a grade of C.

Applicants to the Graduate Certificate in Screen and Media Production must normally hold an approved degree or equivalent qualification from an approved tertiary institution.
