What you will study First year A typical first year may include: core topics in contexts of midwifery practice, foundational professional skills, perinatal mental health, anatomy and physiology of reproduction, and Indigenous health for midwives clinical placement topics in introduction to midwifery practice, and maternal and infant assessment skills.
