Professional recognition The selection of relevant units can extend your prior degree studies in accounting to meet the academic requirements for enrolment in the professional programs offered by CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) and the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA); or towards registration as a tax agent with the Tax Practitioners Board. If your prior degree is not in accounting, you will meet the academic component of requirements for enrolment in the professional program offered by CPA Australia. Graduates seeking to meet the academic requirements for enrolment in the professional programs offered by CAANZ and IPA will be required to complete a minimum of 24 credit points (2 units) in addition to the requirements of the Graduate Diploma in Business (Professional Accounting). The selection of relevant units may also extend your studies towards registration as a tax agent with the Tax Practitioners Board. Graduates who complete relevant units may also be eligible for exemptions in the qualifying programs for membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
