Why choose this course? This course is designed for applicants who do not meet the English requirements for direct entry to the Master of Information Technology. If you hold an undergraduate degree in IT, and you are interested in developing the specialist knowledge and language skills to undertake a Masters in Information Technology, then this course is for you. You'll be able to improve your English language capability and academic literacy skills while studying advanced IT topics. Upon successful completion of IN17, students are eligible for one semester of advanced standing towards the Master of Information Technology. IN17 graduates wishing to continue their studies in Information Technology can do so with IN20 – Master of Information Technology. You can choose from any of the eight majors – Business Process Management, Computer Science, Data Science, Enterprise Systems, Human Computer Interaction, Information Management, Networks, or Security. IN17 graduates wishing to continue their studies with the IN21 – Master of Information Technology (Graduate Entry) course can choose only from the following three majors: Enterprise Systems, Networks, or Security. Career outcomes As a graduate of this course you will be eligible to progress to the Master of Information Technology. Graduates of the Master of Information Technology program will be ready to take on a career as a business analyst, systems analyst, systems manager, data communications specialist, network administrator, network manager, database manager, electronic commerce developer, internet professional, multimedia designer, senior programmer, software engineer or systems programmer.
