As the course progresses, you will be given opportunities to launch your career through public performances in Brisbane’s live music venues like The Zoo, Brisbane Powerhouse, The Old Museum and QPAC, as well as at the Brisbane Festival Spiegel tent. You can also participate in our Independent Music Project which focuses on artist development and music-related research. Career outcomes Graduates work in a broad range of live, recording and multimedia environments as performers, producers, composers, developers of music software and games, DJs and private instrumental music teachers. This course can be followed with a graduate-entry teacher education course which enables you to become a qualified teacher. Entry to graduate-entry teacher education courses usually requires you to nominate two different teaching areas, so you may need to have studied a range of units in a different subject area to the main focus of your degree.
