专业简介
The Doctoral Program in Social and Political Thought is a 4 year degree program. It is an interdisciplinary program, sustained by various forms of normative reflection, theorising, and empirical research drawn from humanities and social science disciplines. In the first year of the program, PhD candidates will undertake a year of coursework, consisting of research seminars (4 distinct units), taught by the academic staff of the Institute for Social Justice (ISJ). The remaining three years will be devoted to writing the PhD thesis with close supervision and support from ISJ staff.

Applicants must hold the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor's degree with a pass average. Individual courses may have specific requirements. Other English language Requirements accepted: Pearson Test of English (PTE) score of 61 with a minimum of 50 in all four communicative skills; or ACU English Language Test with Grade B (65-74%).

a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) or relevant discipline, with a minimum of second class Honours;
and
Research proposal indicating alignment with the mission of the Institute for Social Justice
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Overall score: 6.0 Individual score of 5.5 in all tests; Pearson Test of English (PTE): 54 with a minimum of 42 in all four communicative skills; Test of English as a Foreign Language - Academic (TOEFL): Internet based total of 78: minimum 20 in writing, 12 in reading, 17 in speaking and 11 in listening; ACU English Language Test: C (60-64%); Cambridge Advanced English (CAE): Overall CAE: 169 Individual score of at least 162 in all tests.
