The Master of Cyber Security Operations is designed for postgraduate scholars and professional managers who wish to gain a more detailed understanding of the managerial and technical skills and expertise relevant to planning, operation and acquisition of the cyber security function. It is designed to meet the demand for executives and managers who oversee the cyber security function in government, industry, law enforcement and Defence. It provides principles gathered from information systems, cyber security, risk, management and governance for managers seeking to enhance their career in cyber security operations.
Students undertaking MCyberSecOps are required to complete 48 Units of Credit (UOC) by completing eight 6-UOC courses
In the MCyberSecOps program, students must complete four core courses and four elective courses. Not all elective courses will be available in a particular year.
The courses in the program may be taken in any order but it is recommended that the four core courses are completed first, followed by the four elective courses.

English Language Requirements: IELTS Academic: 6.5 overall (min. 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL Internet-based Test (iBT): 90 overall (min. 23 in writing, 22 in reading, listening and speaking); TOEFL - Paper-based Test (PBT) 577 overall (min. 5.0 in TWE); Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic - 64 overall (min. 54 in each subtest); Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) - 180 overall (min.180 in each subtest; Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) - 176 overall (min.169 in each subtest).

There are six pathways for entry to the Master of Cyber Security Operations.
UNSW Canberra postgraduate programs with a Business or Management cognate discipline.
Pathway 1. Completion of a Bachelor's degree with Honours with a major in Business or Management.
Pathway 2. Completion of a Graduate Diploma in Business or Management.
Pathway 3. Completion of a 3 or 4-year Bachelor degree in Business or Management, which includes a major in Business or Management and have completed at least 3 years full-time professional experience in Business or Management*.
Pathway 4. Completion of a Bachelor degree in any discipline and have completed at least 4-years full-time professional experience in Business or Management*.
Pathway 5. Evidence of other academic qualifications and professional experience to be submitted to the relevant Program Authority to be acceptable grounds for admission into the degree*.
Pathway 6. No tertiary qualifications but evidence of professional experience to be submitted to the relevant Program Authority to be acceptable grounds for admission into the degree*.
*Pathway 3, 4, 5 and 6: Evidence for professional experience:
The evidence required for validation of professional experience will include a statement of service from the employer verifying the position, role and responsibilities, and duration of employment.
