Applicant must have a bachelor degree with class I honours or class IIA honours (AQF Level 8) or a masters degree (AQF Level 9), incorporating a significant research component of a standard comparable to a bachelor degree with class IIA honours, from an Australian higher education institution or a qualification recognised as equivalent by the National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition (NOOSR); or a record of research, or a qualification granted by a professional or other body deemed by the Dean, Griffith Graduate Research School to be of a standard comparable to a bachelor degree with class IIA honours. English Language Requirements accepted: A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0; an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19); a minimum score of 575 on TOEFL; or no score less than 3+ in each skill of the ISLPR (conducted by ISLPR Language Services only);or Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE): Minimum grade of C on the or a Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): Minimum grade of C on the or Pearson Test of English (Academic): Overall score of 58 with no score less than 50.

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Arts, a student must:
hold a Bachelor degree or higher in any discipline from a recognised University or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 point scale)
OR hold a Bachelor degree or Graduate Certificate in a related discipline from a recognised University or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing with a minimum GPA of 4.0 (using a 7.0 scale) (students will be eligible for 40 credit points of advanced standing)
OR hold a Bachelor Honours, or Graduate Diploma qualification in a related discipline from a recognised University or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing (students will be eligible for 80 credit points of advanced standing).
English language requirements apply to International applicants and other applicants whose previous study was undertaken in a language other than English. The minimum English language requirements for such applicants for entry to this program are as follows:
A minimum overall band score of 6.5 on IELTS (Academic) with no sub-score of less than 6.0
OR a minimum score of 575 on TOEFL
OR an internet-based (iBT) TOEFL score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19)
