专业简介
This is a masters-level qualification in teacher education. If you are an aspiring teacher, this programme will provide you with the knowledge, skills and values you need to become the committed professional necessary for today’s schools. As well as offering courses in educational and curricular issues, the programme also highlights the importance of practitioner enquiry. This systematic reflection on teaching in the classroom gives the programme its distinctive Masters character. On successful completion of your PGDE you will have the opportunity to transfer your 90 Masters-level credits from your PGDE into this programme. You will have the General Teaching Council (GTC) for Scotland qualification to pursue teaching roles in schools. Many of our graduates are teaching not only in Scotland’s primary and secondary schools, but throughout the UK and further abroad.

Graduates of national quality Chinese universities with a GPA of 3.2 or above or an average score of 80% and above will be considered. Grades in relevant subjects will be accorded greater significance and entry will be entirely at the discretion of the University of Glasgow. We can accept top-up honours degrees with the final year at a UK or other university but we normally require 60% or equivalent (2.1) standard in all courses in the final year of the degree.

Students whose first language is not English need to have IELTS Academic: overall score 6.5; no sub-test less than 6.0 or equivalent scores in another recognised qualification; TOEFL- iBT: 90 (Reading: 20, Listening: 19, Speaking: 19, Writing: 23).
