专业简介
This programme focuses on the economic analysis of financial and banking issues. It is aimed at policymakers, postgraduate students who are interested in financial markets, or those who work in financial institutions and government organisations. You will develop the essential concepts, analytical skills and critical thinking you require to start or enhance your career in economic policy, and the banking and financial sector worldwide.
This programme is beneficial if you wish to enter or are already in a profession which requires you to provide economic analysis of financial and banking issues. Recent graduates have been appointed as auditors, economists and strategy and policy analysts for example, in companies such as Ernst and Young, HSBC and Accenture. We have a dedicated careers and employability team who provide 1-2-1 support and advice, group workshops, employer events on campus and networking opportunities throughout the year to help you with your career prospects. This course is also accredited by AACSB and EQUIS.

Graduates of national quality Chinese universities with a GPA of 3.2 or above or an average score of 80% and above will be considered. Grades in relevant subjects will be accorded greater significance and entry will be entirely at the discretion of the University of Glasgow. We can accept top-up honours degrees with the final year at a UK or other university but we normally require 60% or equivalent (2.1) standard in all courses in the final year of the degree.

Students whose first language is not English need to have IELTS Academic: overall score 6.5; no sub-test less than 6.0 or equivalent scores in another recognised qualification; TOEFL- iBT: 90 (Reading: 20, Listening: 19, Speaking: 19, Writing: 23).
