Waikato's new three-year Bachelor of Business will prepare you to lead people and manage a successful company or not-for-profit enterprise across a wide range of industries. You'll also gain the know-how to start your own small business. This degree will equip you with well-rounded business and financial acumen that today's employers are looking for, across all the key areas of management: accounting, economics, finance, marketing, strategy, supply chain management, digital business, data analytics, and much more. You'll also develop core skills in decision-making, analysis, innovation, teamwork, leadership and communication that will stand you in good stead throughout your career. As a BBus student, you'll gain valuable insights into why companies need to be agile and innovative in today's unpredictable global marketplace. You'll learn how to make a company's operations more efficient and profitable, satisfy the needs of your customers, and what's involved in managing international supply chains. Discover the entrepreneurial process of creating new products, and be introduced to the latest digital technologies – such as big data and cloud computing – that are revolutionising business and society. In third year, you'll have the opportunity to gain practical management experience working for a local or international organisation, and apply everything you've learned so far to a real business situation. Tourism and Hospitality Management Tourism and hospitality is one of New Zealand's fastest-growing export industries, and it can take your career to new places. This subject will prepare you for an exciting global career managing tourism or hospitality businesses or events, in an industry that's focused on finding out what visitors want, and satisfying their needs. It's your ticket to work anywhere in the world! You might even decide to become an entrepreneur and start up your own tourism or hospitality business. The industry encompasses hotels/resorts, cruise ships, sport and leisure operators, restaurants, cafes, bars, theme parks, entertainment, arts and cultural attractions, special events, and much more. Employers are looking for skilful, business-savvy managers who can plan, control, make strategic decisions, and understand the legal requirements for this sector - and that's where you come in. Learn how to design and deliver memorable travel experiences Build practical knowledge in areas such as service management, designing operational systems, business strategy, leading teams of staff, and managing financial resources. Gain skills in destination marketing, event management, and inter-cultural communication. 为来自中国的学生设计 Applicants are also accepted if they hold Senior High School Graduation plus one year successful study at a recognised institution of university standing; or successful completion of a two year diploma at a recognised institution. Other English Language Requirements: TOEFL paper-based score of 550 with TWE rating of 5.0; TOEFL computer-based score of 213 including a TWE of 5.0; CAEL Level 7 with a B grade average and no less than C in any section of the Certificate of Academic English Language (CAEL) programme; PTE Academic overall score of 57 and no less than 57 for Writing; NCEA (NZ schooling) should meet the NCEA literacy requirements for University Entrance (10 credits from the approved standards with 5 reading credits and 5 writing credits); and if English was the language of instruction in the last two years of secondary / tertiary studies then an English waiver can be considered.
