You can take courses from all the subject areas within the built environment Architecture, Building Science, Interior Architecture and Landscape Architecture allowing you to make connections between the disciplines. You'll take a range of lecture-based courses on historical and theoretical topics, which look at architectural, archaeological and historical material in a fresh way. The PGDipAHT is a theory-based qualification that provides a pathway into the one-year theory-focused Master of Architecture. Careers The skills and knowledge you gain will open doors to a range of jobs including architectural conservator, archivist or museum researcher. You might also find work as a critic or writer, curator, historian or librarian. Or, once you've completed the PGDipAHT, you may want to continue your study in Architecture History and Theory with the one-year Master of Architecture.
