专业简介
The Master of Software Development is a one-year 180 point Master’s degree delivered through a combination of course work and an in-work (industry placement) research and development project.
It is a graduate programme designed to equip students from a range of backgrounds with an industry focused qualification that prepares them to develop real-world software-based systems.
The degree may appeal to graduates who are seeking employment in the IT industry.
Programme structure
The programme is made up of five courses which are a combination of taught courses and a large research and development project.

You’ll start by enrolling in the following courses before you tackle the research and development component project:
SWEN 501—Professional Programming Skills
SWEN 502—Software Development Studio I
SWEN 503—Software Development Studio II
SWEN 505—Professional Seminar.

Applicants must have Bachelor's degree and three years' work experience. English Language Requirements: TOEFL 90 points on the internet-based test with a minimum of 20 in writing, or IELTS overall band of 6.5, no sub-score below 6, or a minimum of two ratings of 5 and two ratings of 4 in the Victoria University English Proficiency Programme test, or Pearson Test of English, with a score of 65 (with a communicative score of not less than 58).

To apply for the programme, you are required to have:
A university New Zealand bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualification.
A basic level of competence in programming.
Entry into the Master’s programme is based on excellent academic performance in your bachelor’s degree.
