Sydney Law School offers a rare and flexible program in Employment and Labour Law that allows you to pursue specific units in labour law, employment law, discrimination law and dispute resolution.
The Master of Labour Law and Relations is a sought-after qualification for people with or without a law degree that merges the expertise of Sydney Law School with the Discipline of Work and Organisational Studies (part of the University of Sydney Business School) and the Department of Political Economy.

The Master of Labour Law and Relations (MLLR) has been developed specifically to meet the needs of two groups: those with degrees in non-legal disciplines and those with law degrees who wish to specialise in employment and industrial law. To apply for a PhD, you need to demonstrate sufficient prior research experience and capability. In most cases, you will have either: a bachelor's degree with first or upper second class honours or a master's degree performed at a high academic standard, and which includes a substantial component of research; an equivalent qualification that demonstrates research experience, excellence and capability. English Language Requirements: TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing; IELTS score: A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band; TOEFL - PBT score: A minimum result of 565 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing.

Available places will be offered to qualified applicants based on merit, according to the following admissions criteria. Admission to the degree requires: a) a bachelor's degree with a minimum credit average from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification; or b) a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification; and the applicant provides evidence of two years of relevant professional experience.
TOEFL - IBT score: A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
IELTS score: A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
TOEFL - PBT score: A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing
