The aim of the Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management is to provide students who already have a degree, or extensive applicable experience, with advanced theoretical and applied knowledge in Human Resource (HR) Management. Learn about HR policy, management, ethics, and business practice, as well as getting hands on experience or undertaking a research project. Elective papers are available in contemporary topics such as change management, health & safety and employee relations. Course Content Level 6 papers (elective) - complete three of the following: MGT209 Managing Human Resources (Level 6) 15 Credits MGT215 Organisational Behaviour (Level 6) 15 Credits MGT219 Change Management (Level 6) 15 Credits Level 7 papers (compulsory) – complete all of the following: MGT301 Business Ethics (Level 7) 15 Credits MGT302 Contemporary Issues (Level 7) 15 Credits MGT312 Advanced Human Resource Management (Level 7) 15 Credits MGT310 Management Dissertation (30 credits) Career opportunities: Students who have completed a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management will undertake critical evaluation to inform the development and application of human resource policies and procedures at an advanced level in areas such as: recruiting, organisational departmental planning, performance management and employment compliance. They will solve problems, both independently and as part of a team. Satisfactory Completion For students to be considered to have satisfactorily completed this programme and be eligible for the awarding of the qualification Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, they must have completed all scheduled course work requirements and assessments, successfully completed assessment requirements for all papers, and achieved a total of 120 credits as specified in the programme schedule. The timeframe for completion of this programme is five years.
