Graduates will be able to:
Effectively apply the principles of effective management in conjunction with an in-depth understanding of the music industry
Establish effective management relationships with performing artists over an extended period to enable the artist to achieve key artistic and business goals
Effectively manage musical events, from initial conception to closure, to ensure successful achievement of event goals and outcomes
Communicate effectively with music industry professionals
Use standard administrative practices and appropriate information and communication technologies to support their roles as managers within the music industry
Market performing artists and musical events effectively and appropriately

Career Opportunities
This qualification prepares graduates for employment or freelance operation in the music and related industries or for higher level study.
Graduates will have a range of business, management and event production skills, be able to work effectively in a project based team environment, or as an independent contractor/unsupervised maker.
Graduates will contribute to the cultural, social and economic life of Aotearoa New Zealand.
Satisfactory Completion
To successfully complete and be awarded the Diploma in Music and Event Management students must complete the prescribed programme of study and attain a minimum of 120 credits.

Applicants must be high school graduates.
国际学生入学条件
Successful completion of a national certificate or equivalent qualification at Level 3 or above.
Mature Applicant
At least one year’s practical industry experience.
All applicants need to be able to demonstrate a high level of motivation and desire to success (e.g. through a history of work, industry experience, etc.). Consideration will be given to applicants who have current or recent experience in the music/event industry, are successful MAINZ graduates, or have successfully completed a related programme from another institution.
Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
English Language Requirements
Certificate of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA), or
IELTS test - Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5
TOEFL Paper based test (pBT) – Score of 550 (with an essay score 5 TWE)
TOEFL Internet- based test (iBT) – Score of 46 (with a writing score of 14)
University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations – FCE or FCE for schools with a score of 162. No less than 154 in each skill. OET at Grade C in all sub-tests
Pearson Test of English (Academic) – PToE (Academic score of 42)
City and Guilds IESOL – B2 Communicator with a score of 42
Language Cert – B2 Communicator IESOL (LRWS) with HIGH PASS
