MEd Psychology of Education brings graduates from other disciplines up to the academic standard of an honours degree in psychology, while exploring how the core areas of psychology can be applied in educational settings.
It demonstrates how the core areas of psychology - developmental, social, cognitive, psychobiology, individual differences and research methods - can be applied in educational settings. It is therefore an excellent starting point for individuals wishing to pursue a career in educational psychology. You will: develop critical skills in the evaluation and analysis of current research, theory and practice in psychology and education; experience an ethos of independent and co-operative learning and research; gain eligibility for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Status from the British Psychological Society, the first step towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist.

Students with a bachelor's degree from a recognised good-quality Chinese university, with a minimum overall average grade of 80% or a minimum GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) will be considered. Entry requirements differ between courses. Students must demonstrate proficiency in English language and some MBA programme requires GMAT scores.

Students whose first language is not English should meet the following language requirements: IELTS test score of 6.5 or more overall, with a minimum writing score of 6.5 and no other subsection below 6.0; TOEFL internet-based test score of 90 or more overall, with a minimum writing score of 22 and no other subsection below 20; Pearson Test of English score of 59 or more overall, with a minimum writing score of 59 and no other subsection below 51
Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) or Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) overall score of 176 or above, with 176 in writing and no sub-section below 169 -OR- Grade C if taken before January 2015 (Please note that the Cambridge First Certificate in English is not acceptable).
