This MEng Ship Science / Advanced Materials course draws on understanding of engineering materials used in the design and manufacture of marine craft and structures. In addition you will specialise in core naval architecture areas. Ship Science is a Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering course unique to the University of Southampton. It applies engineering science to the field of ships and other maritime structures. This four year integrated masters Advanced Materials theme focuses on the use of advanced materials such as composites in ships and other maritime structure. This theme is ideally suited to someone with an interest in the manufacturing of advanced marine craft such as super yachts.
