The Masters in the Foundations of Clinical Psychology offers a curriculum in which the central aim is to provide an educational experience which sets the profession of Clinical Psychology into a European and International context. This MSc Foundations of Clinical Psychology programme will serve as an academic stepping stone to completion of a PhD in Psychology and will supplement students’ experience for application to professional training offered by Doctoral Programmes in Clinical Psychology. The MSc clinical psychology master’s degree adopts an adult learning focus using a combination of lecture, workshop and e-learning approaches. Assessment is via essays, classroom assignments, a problem-based learning presentation, research assignments and a research dissertation. Teaching is provided by members of the Psychology Academic Unit, practising clinical psychologists within the NHS and members of the Voluntary Sector.
