This programme is about collective practice and individual achievement. You will learn to cooperate and collaborate, and to develop your project management abilities, leadership skills and approaches to problem-solving. You will learn from the experience of teachers engaged in professional practice and from fellow students, on a degree which is about enrichment through openness. In the process, you will find your personal strengths, and your individual voice will emerge. All students have access to all workshops and facilities, and may work in any medium they choose. All work is discussed and critiqued each week. Studio activity is supported by ongoing technical training. At regular intervals, students come together to participate in ambitious, large-scale collective projects with shared outcomes. There are weekly talks by visiting practitioners, and lectures addressing employability, professional engagement and postgraduate study. Exhibitions are an important part of the programme. We regularly go on gallery visits, taking full advantage of our proximity to London.The Winchester School of Art design campus provides individual studio practice and large-scale projects with your own workspace in well-resourced studios and extensive workshop facilities.
