This course is highly relevant for teachers of Chinese to speakers of other languages and other professionals working in this and related disciplines. The MA Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL) is suitable for Chinese language teachers keen to build on knowledge and experience, and for teachers of other subjects intending to make the move into this field, as well as those interested in course design, management, or teacher training, both in the UK and overseas. Each 20-credit module is assessed by a written assignment of 4,000 words. 15-credit elective modules are assessed through 3,000-word assignments. Career destinations for our graduates include counsellors, education advisers, language tutors, primary and secondary school teachers and vocational and industrial trainers and instructors. A number of our graduates are already in employment while undertaking part-time study and study for professional development within their chosen career. There are Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Certificate exit points.
