This course aims to develop and validate neuroimaging markers of CNS diseases (stroke and carotid artery disease, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimers disease, mental diseases). We are particularly interested to develop markers for early preclinical diagnosis and to quantify treatment effects. We focus on advanced magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy techniques and perform multidisciplinary clinical, translational and methodological research projects (quantitative MRI and morphometry, diffusion tensor imaging, proton spectroscopy, functional and pharmacodynamic assessment, combined EEG-fMRI brain connectivity studies).
