Our Experimental Condensed Matter and Nanoscience research involves seven groups Nanoscience, Semiconductors, Granular Dynamics, Magnetic Levitation, Nanoelectromechanical Systems (NEMS), Nuclear Magnetic Resonance; and Ultra-Low Temperature Physics. Postgraduates are integrated into the research community of the School through participation in research seminars given by visiting speakers, and research workshops given by members of the school. There is an active postgraduate research group in each of the school's main research areas. Careers support for research staff and postgraduate research students is available on an individual basis and through a range of career management workshops delivered in collaboration with the Graduate School and Graduate Centers.
