This course is fully accredited by the Chartered Banker Institute (CBI) and brings students the latest knowledge about banking and financial markets. The MSc Banking and Finance is designed for students with two types of ambition: those seeking a career as practitioners in both domestic and international banks, at central banks, or in consultancy, and those who intend to pursue an academic or research career in the field. Enabling students to develop skills in the analysis of financial institutions and instruments, markets, consumer demands and competition, this course will provide them with a conceptual and theoretical grounding in current concepts and techniques in banking, policy, economics and risk management, and associated areas. Students will also be introduced to a range of empirical techniques, enabling them to analyse industrial dynamics, the impact of innovation on performance, and the impact of regulation and policy interventions on banking and finance in corporations.
