This new vocational course offers the unique opportunity to integrate an in-depth scientific knowledge of animal nutrition with the acquisition of business skills and a detailed operational understanding of the animal feed industries, developed through a series of case studies. This combination will equip you with the knowledge and skills for working in either research or industry. This programme will cover: principles of nutrition including the sources and functions of macro- and micronutrients and animal metabolism; a range of methods for acquiring and interpreting biological and epidemiological information; feeding systems for livestock production, and dietary regimens for zoo and companion animals; and role of diet in the causation and prevention of disease and the promotion of animal health.
