The MEng Computer and Internet Engineering course offers an integrated training in communications (both hardware and software), media and content delivery, and security and machine learning, developing the next generation of engineers for the internet age. Our aim is to develop engineers with a solid grounding in electronics, plus the specialist skills needed to work at the forefront of mobile and internet technology. After a common foundation year in programming and electronics, you will go on to study advanced modules in topics such as mobile communications, digital signal processing and artificial intelligence. We find that the work record established during Professional Training placements gives our students a decided advantage when employers are making offers. As our graduates are highly numerate, literate, computer literate, organised, confident, business minded and commercially aware, they are also very attractive recruits for companies operating in many other professions, including management, banking, accountancy and software development.
