Pharmacology and Physiology with an Integrated Foundation Year is a four-year programme where completion of an initial foundation year guarantees you entry on to the BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology and Physiology. You also have the option of undertaking an industrial placement. This programme offers:•an initial foundation year, which includes a taught course that is work related; takes account of prior learning; and gives you the opportunity to develop and embed key academic and employability skills•a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles of the scientific discipline of pharmacology and how these fundamental principles can be applied to the understanding of drug actions in the various physiological systems of the body•a comprehensive understanding of how the scientific discipline of pharmacology is integral to the drug discovery and development process•a detailed understanding of the variety of technical approaches and research strategies which underpin pharmacology and drug discovery•a progression route to MSc or PhD study, or employment in the bioscience/pharmaceutical industry•teaching by research active experts in pharmacology, physiology and related scientific disciplines•a substantial research project in an academic or industrial laboratory.The Medway School of Pharmacy is a unique collaboration between the University of Greenwich and the University of Kent.
