This programme prepares to become a general class teacher in the age range 5-11 years, with a specialism in Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6). You will undertake two school placements, one in Lower Key Stage 2 and the other in Upper Key Stage 2. Children in Key Stage 2 become part of a community of learners and show the capacity to make a contribution to society. You’ll be working with children as their enthusiasm really comes to the surface and reveals the individuals they are likely to become. You will learn at the University through a range of different teaching methods and group sizes, including lectures, seminars, practical workshops and tutorials. University-based sessions will be held in Norwich, a location which is widely regarded as one of the most attractive and friendly cities in Britain. The campus at the University of East Anglia is set in extensive parkland and the distinctive architecture is nationally acclaimed.
