The foundation year of this five-year course is designed to arm you with the skills and knowledge you need to move on to study our MPharm degree. You’ll not only focus on fundamental skills in mathematics, biology and chemistry, but also specialise in principles in pharmacy. In year one – your foundation year – you’ll focus on developing fundamental skills in mathematics, biology, chemistry and pharmacy, which are needed to move onto our MPharm degree.From year two you’ll develop as both a scientist and a practitioner, gaining as much hands-on experience through practical and experiential learning as possible. You’ll get to work with real patients, developing your communication skills and maximising the benefits of every prescription. And you’ll be taught about clinical and pharmaceutical management.Our course covers topics in an integrated way, focused on different diseases. Its carefully structured programme includes a number of compulsory topics on essential pharmaceutical theory and methodology.
