The MSc in Clinical Research NIHR is a first step on the HEE/NIHR Integrated Clinical Academic Pathway for non-medical healthcare professions. This pathway aims to develop clinical researchers who will lead the integration of research into the clinical environment. Successful students have the potential to move through the pathway to Senior Clinical Lectureship positions. This MSc offers a fully funded studentship including salary replacement and course fees. Students are supported in their dissertations by research active members of the Faculty of Medicine and Health and are given opportunities to present their work at conferences and through publications. We will help you to develop the skills to conduct critical analysis of evidence that underpins healthcare, and to carry out in-depth qualitative and quantitative research relevant to your own practice. You will also be able to develop leadership qualities to help you deliver the best and most effective service, in whatever field of healthcare you operate. This course may be taken on a full or part time basis, and is an ideal vehicle as a precursor to undertaking a PhD.
