专业简介
This course is ideal for research training in social work. You will undertake intensive research training which will equip you with the skills to carry out your own research. You will also become adept at critically interpreting the research of others. During this course you will undertake your own research project in which you will explore an aspect of social work that you find interesting. You will be continually assessed based mainly on essays and reports and you will receive written feedback on all assessed work. This course is suitable as a basis for further study, such as a PhD in Social Work. You will also gain relevant and highly sought-after skills that qualify you for a research career in academic institutions, local and central government or related organisations.

Students would normally need a bachelors degree from a recognised institution in a relevant subject. The score they will need depends on which university you attended in China and which subject you are applying to. Typically you would need at least the equivalent to a UK upper second class honours degree, however some courses will accept lower second class honours degrees. Actual requirements will vary by course. A score of 80-85% is considered comparable to a UK 2:1 and a score of 75-80% is considered comparable to a UK 2:2.
