This course is ideal for early and mid-career professionals in international development. During your studies you will develop the skills and knowledge to work in large organisations and to lead development projects in complex and uncertain situations. You will learn to examine and influence the policy process across multiple layers of governance and analyse the different approaches used in different countries. Our MPA in International Development will enhance your capacity to influence and lead the development agenda, at a national, regional or international level. You will develop your capacity for critical analysis of the complex problems that you tackle in your work. You will also develop your skills as a manager or leader in your field. You will take part in exercises and other tasks as you progress through each module. This will allow you to receive feedback on your progress and understanding. This course is ideal if you have some experience of working in international development and want professional development to work towards your career goals.

Students would normally need a bachelors degree from a recognised institution in a relevant subject. The score they will need depends on which university you attended in China and which subject you are applying to. Typically you would need at least the equivalent to a UK upper second class honours degree, however some courses will accept lower second class honours degrees. Actual requirements will vary by course. A score of 80-85% is considered comparable to a UK 2:1 and a score of 75-80% is considered comparable to a UK 2:2.
