This course provides a springboard to a career in international business or finance, as well as ideal preparation for further research. You will follow a structured transition to independent research, completing modules to the value of 180 credits. Our MSc in Finance will provide you with the essential postgraduate skills you need to follow a career in applied or quantitative finance. It will act as a stepping stone to a financial position in, for example, financial analysis, investment management or corporate finance. The Masters is also an ideal basis for progression to a PhD. Many of our students have gone on to forge careers in academia or central banks. Others have followed careers as investment analysts, financial advisers, and consultants in commercial banks, stockbrokers and other financial institutions.???

Students would normally need a bachelors degree from a recognised institution in a relevant subject. The score they will need depends on which university you attended in China and which subject you are applying to. Typically you would need at least the equivalent to a UK upper second class honours degree, however some courses will accept lower second class honours degrees. Actual requirements will vary by course. A score of 80-85% is considered comparable to a UK 2:1 and a score of 75-80% is considered comparable to a UK 2:2.
