Gain advanced knowledge and understanding of the Earth's natural systems and how they can be managed. You'll explore Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and gain practical experience of dealing with the complex issues they raise in a systematic and creative way. Students who complete this course typically remain within the field of environmental science, in particular as academic researchers, environmental consultants and resource managers. Recent graduates have found employment in a wide range of public and private sector organisations where they have worked to promote sustainable development initiatives, improve environmental performance and ensure compliance with environmental legislation. To qualify for the additional qualification of Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Practice (PGDIPP) you must submit a work placement portfolio which includes a placement diary, reflective report and updated CV, as well as deliver an oral presentation on your placement experience.
