This exciting course is run by the School of Creative Studies and Media in collaboration with Bangor’s world-class School of Music. The course is aimed at students who want to study Film Studies (for example: digital film production, Hollywood cinema, History of Film, Directing for performance, women on film, animation, world cinema, among other modules) and combine this with the study and/or practice of Music. This course will equip you with a lively grounding in the practical and critical skills required in these exciting creative fields. Music and Film Studies offers a balance of practical and critical tasks. In Film Studies you will explore a variety of films and film practices, having the opportunity to explore work from the past and present and to consider both the application of ideas to your own productions, and/or the critical study of film. In Music modules are also either practical or critical, and offer a wide variety of choices.  Much of your study will be done in small group teaching.
