This course covers the environmental, economic and social factors underpinning sustainability in forest systems, studying processes ranging from individual ecological interactions to those acting at a landscape level. Research Area includes: Ecophysiology of the impact and tolerance of heavy metals; Plant Nutrition; Mycorrhizas in forest ecosystems; Impact of CO2; Forest Genetics and tree breeding; Forest inventory; Conservation and restoration of forest eco-systems; Forest bioenergy.
