This course is especially designed for healthcare professionals employed or able to work either in a minor injuries, or pre-hospital, environment. and will enhance employment and promotion opportunities. The purpose of this module is to develop the academic and clinical requirements for the nurse or other allied health professional working in either an Emergency Department, Minor Injury Unit or other pre-hospital environment. The pathway will enable students to develop graduate, lifelong learning skills such as critical thinking, problem solving and the use of evidence based practice to enhance current professional and academic skills; this in turn will develop transferable skills which will enhance their employability. The pathway has been designed and based on the Royal College of Emergency Care competency document.
During this course students will develop a deep understanding of the diversity of health and physical and mental well-being. They will develop an understanding of a wide range of issues such as those of particular relevance to a rural environment and the application and effectiveness of new technologies in a healthcare environment.

Students require a minimum of 65% in undergraduate programme from a recognised university in China (211 university) or minimum of 70% in undergraduate programme from a recognised university in China (non 211 university).Mature students will be considered on a case by case basis.
