This degree provides an understanding of this biodiversity, the ways in which it is influenced by people, and the role that forests can play in reducing the impacts of human activities, including climate change. The degree focuses on the principles of biological conservation, forest ecology and forest ecosystem function, the practice of conservation, and the ways in which forests can be managed to meet conservation objectives. On this Conservation with Forestry course lectures, they will study through a range of tutorials, seminars and fieldwork. Our courses are modular and comprise suites of compulsory and optional modules. The latter allow them to expand their studies into new areas or develop specialisms that interest them. This Conservation with Forestry course will equip them for a broad range of careers, including woodland conservation, woodland management and forest certification in both the public and private sectors.
