This extended course offers an innovative interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach to the study of Gender and Culture. This is an interdisciplinary MA scheme taught by Gender specialists across the Arts and Humanities - in the subject areas of Development Studies, Political and Cultural Studies, English Literature, Egyptology, European Languages, History, Media Studies, and Political and Cultural Studies. If you are interested in gender and gender relations in politics, literature, culture, and history, like engaging in discussion and intellectual argument, and are excited about the idea of working within and across different subject areas, the MA is ideal for you. The MA examines the production, reproduction and transformation of gender in culture and society. The degree is supported by the research activity of GENCAS, the Centre for Research into Gender in Culture and Society in the College of Arts and Humanities.
