This course is designed in conjunction with industry specialists and industry related learning is a core element of all courses in the Centre. The Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) is one of the few centres in UK universities with the background and specialist skills to offer such a course. Over the past few years it has been high successful in developing its teaching, research and industry contacts in management. Participating students will have a first degree and aspire to develop an academic or research career or to work in the mineral resource management sector. It includes training in theory and critical analysis along with practical skills to facilitate the transformations needed to deliver secure low carbon futures. The programme will develop a holistic view of key challenges and issues facing this sector. Successful students will gain a career-enhancing applied MSc, which might be used as a springboard to a research degree or to develop a career in the mineral resource management or related organisations.
