This programme is designed to enable you to develop your knowledge and competence in your role as an infection prevention and control or health protection practitioner, and is mapped against an international professional competency framework. The programme is delivered by a team of Infection Prevention and Control academics, researchers and practitioners with significant experience in supporting the development of infection prevention and control practitioners through online distance learning. Our team has expertise in hospitals, community and public health settings; an online, international pathway for nurses and health professionals who have a responsibility for prevention and control of infection/infectious disease. Throughout the programme you will be able to demonstrate to your employer your developing skills, mapped against the Infection Prevention Society or your own national competency frameworks. On completion of the programme you will have the knowledge required to work as an infection prevention and control practitioner, along with the benefits that come with Master's level study such as developing critical research and enquiry skills.
