Introduction This programme explores how this process works, and studies how cultures blend and adapt across national boundaries. It is suitable for graduates from a wide range of disciplines in the arts and social sciences, and it draws on cultural, literary and linguistic studies as well as sociology, social anthropology, history and politics. The MLitt in Transnational Cultures analyses the social, cultural, linguistic and political consequences of colonialism, migration, globalisation and transnationalism, focusing primarily on the Americas and Europe and prepares you to proceed to advanced postgraduate research in migration and postcolonial studies from an Arts and Humanities perspective. Migration and Postcolonial Studies is offered by the School of Social Sciences. The School offers an exciting research led learning environment for postgraduate students at University of Aberdeen. As well as providing research training to enable you to go on to pursue an academic career, this programme will also be of interest to you if you wish to follow a career in organisations-public and private, national and international concerned with migration issues.
