Introduction This programme provides advanced training in social research. It equips students with the skills they need to undertake independent research, using a range of methodologies, and through the dissertation, students are able to develop practical, intellectual and critical skills in their specific areas of interest. For students who wish to undertake a PhD in Sociology, the programme is also designed to provide the support and training required to complete the first stages of doctoral research.
