Introduction The International Commercial Law LLM program at the University of Aberdeen presents you with an opportunity to mould your study of this complex area. All courses reflect contemporary and developing issues and blend theory and practice in their approach. In contrast to the LLM International Commercial Law with Dissertation, the LLM International Commercial Law with Professional Skills offers students the opportunity to develop key practical skills in arbitration, instead of developing research skills through the writing and submission of a Masters thesis. You will undertake an intensive summer school programme, followed by a simulated practical exercise and submission of an extended piece of writing rather than formal dissertation research project. A commercial law degree can open doors within global and exporting business worldwide. Your role often comes into its own to ensure smooth continuation of operations, new business opportunities in new countries and management of a wide variety of legal aspects in growing multinational companies.
